Russia’s President Vladimir Putin arrives in India on a two-day state visit. Indian media report Putin will land in Delhi on Thursday evening, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will welcome him at his residence. The two leaders plan a private meeting shortly after his arrival.

On Friday, Rashtrapati Bhavan will host an official reception for Putin, attended by Prime Minister Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. Bilateral talks between both countries will follow later in the day.
During the visit, Russia’s delegation plans discussions with India on cooperation across politics, trade, and economic sectors, according to officials.

Meanwhile, ahead of Putin’s arrival in Delhi, Russia’s parliament has approved a significant military agreement with India.
